It is just a wolf spider with millions of her babies.
The first picture was actually shot by Dan using my camera. I could not keep my hands still being so close to the spider. I do not hate spiders; but, I do have a healthy fear of them. Charlotte actually taught me that we can get along with one another as long as we don't mess with them (spiders).
Ewwww - I'm with you - I will leave them alone if they leave me alone! Great macros of an "ewww" subject.

ReplyDeleteThe first shot is brilliant! Spiders aren't my favorite critters, but I don't hate them. I'm happy we only have small harmless spiders here.
ReplyDeleteWow -- the picture with the babies is absolutely amazing! In awe that you caught this and got such a wonderful picture. I kinda' like creepy-crawlers as long as they stay outside.
ReplyDelete@Gunilla BäckThank you!
ReplyDelete@Sallie (FullTime-Life)It is amazing. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I can't stop laughing at how many spiders you have around your place. We have a lot, too. We sort of live and let live (as you do) but the one in the picture above would seriously creep me out, too.

ReplyDeleteSpiders, if you approach slowly, will not scare you (and vice versa). They are excellent subjects to practice photography unlike bees, wasps, dragonflies, butterflies etc., and etc. that are constantly on the move. :-)
What a great way to carry your kids!
ReplyDeleteMacro Blossoms
@Magical Mystical TeacherIt sure is! This was the first spider I have seen carry their young. And, to be honest, I never want to see another one do it again. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhoo-ah!
ReplyDelete@VillroseLOL. :-)
ReplyDeleteEEK EEK and more EEK!!! :-)
ReplyDelete@fredamansMade me laugh! Thanks for stopping by.
