Whenever these simple wildflowers pop up in the spring, it brings up good memories of my childhood. These would be one of the first wildflowers to pop up on our lawn and I would pick them for my mother. Of course, these never lasted long even in a vase of water because they are wimps! These are better off left unpicked and enjoyed while viewing the landscape.
