Macro Monday {Pretty and Ugly Paws}

Abby Gail; 1/6/2014

Macros are deceiving. Her fur is extremely short for a typical cat. In macros, her fur looks longer than it really appears. This is not the greatest picture. The first and second toe from the left is kind of washed out due to the light streaming in from the window. The third and fourth toe reflects her true coloring. I am pleased with this shot considering how active Abby can get.

Anyway, I have been wanting to show off Abby's pretty and ugly paws. So, I snapped a couple pictures today. I must confess that her paws creep me out due to the dark coloring outlining her toes. I rarely see individual toes on the paws of a cat. But, Abby is different from the usual. The soles of her paws is black as black as can be just like her nose.

One of these days, I will take a macro of her fur while she sleeps. I think it is so unique and beautiful for a cat. And, I want to take a picture of her nose. But, I have to do this when she is sleeping soundly because she is a very energetic cat that immediately gets up from snoozing wanting to play. After I snapped this one picture (which happened to be the first shot), she immediately started to play with my camera. Now, I cannot have that, can I? Ha! It was difficult to get more pictures and, of course, they were not good ones.

I am planning to shoot more pictures of her early in February to give an update once again as she will be nine months old.
