When I spied the title,...

However, after I started reading the first few words, phew! I am never in a park with Abby Gail. We are out in the front yard and on the driveway occasionally and neighbors/people do see us as they drive by.

Fabric Tuesday

We went to Lake Livingston for the Fourth of July. We stopped at various places on the way for a quick break and one of those stops was in Hunstville which happens to be one of my favorite places in Texas.

There was a store called Fabric Carousel located on the square. We went inside and I found a clearance section with fabrics marked 50% off! As you can see, I ended up purchasing a few. The green fabric with Mr. Potato Head faces was my favorite and I ended up getting a yard of that fabric. The rest are a half yard each.

I'm So Ready for October

I've been using the bullet journal method for several weeks now and I'm extremely happy with how it is working out for me.

I am a list maker. Instead of having multiple lists scattered about and losing one, two or three, having them all in one book works for me.

And having my daily tasks and log all in the same book is awesome! I never even thought of having everything in one journal until one of the bloggers I follow mentioned the system.

Blogging Break

Due to a variety of reasons such as guests, the barn getting built, life, sickness, etc., and etc., I have stopped blogging. I intend to return to blogging again someday. I just do not know when. I am currently trying out a new way of journaling called the Bullet Journal {BuJo} and I think this method fits me to a T! Instead of having multiple journals and lists, it's all in one journal. Perfect. I am using a store brand graph paper composition book which is cheap! I still plan to have a seperate journal for thoughts and travels. But, everything else is being migrated into one journal which makes me feel very happy.

General

• We had a bad storm come through June 28^th bringing high winds, lightning and a power outage that lasted two hours. The winds sheared off some shingles on our roof. Dan was up early the next morning repairing our roof and I blogged about it here.
• We went out of town July 1^stand spent the Fourth of July with some of my family at a lake. I got to see nieces and nephews along with their children. It was a chaotic and happy time.

  By the way, while traveling to and from the lake, we stopped at a few antique stores. I also ended up at a Bernina dealer and fabric shop where I found some fabrics at 50% off. How could I resist? The trip home is normally about four hours. We were on the road for ten hours! We stopped in Huntsville, Navasota, Brenham, and La Grange.

• One of my brothers and his wife came out to our place late on July7^th for a long weekend. The guys spent the vast majority of their mornings and early afternoon putting on the roof to the barn while we ladies went junking and antiquing in nearby towns/cities. We also went to a community wide garage sale where my sister-in-law landed a coffee table for $5.00! I think all of us had a good time.
• I started Wii Fit and did that for several days. I decided just before we left for the holidays that I will dump Wii Fit because I was bored. Instead, I will do Active Wii once again.
