Unphotographable Memories: 4 & 5

Unphotographable Memories: 1, 2, & 3 {includes explanation}

I have been busy working on a blog post to be posted at a later date. So, I thought I share a couple more unphotographable moments that I have written.

This is a picture I did not take of a long haired brown patch Maine Coon cat calmly lying on her side on a cold steel table hissing in displeasure split seconds after receiving a Feline Leukemia vaccination.
{witnessed and written in June 2011}

This is a picture I did not take of a white haired balding man looking dazed and staring off into space with one hand holding onto the steering wheel of his fairly new white car with the driver’s rear wheel and bumper smashed into uselessness and a woman beside him obviously hurt, upset and being attended to by a police officer.
{wintnessed and written in June 2011}

Sidenote: It obvious the white car was spun around at least 180 degrees while the car that hit them was stopped dead in his tracks. The driver of that car was out walking with an ice pack on his face. Please folks. Be careful out there. Don’t be reckless, speeding and whatnot. There is no need for the vast majority of the accidents that occurs out there!

Fabric Tuesday & Wordy Wednesday

This is really a Tuesday post. On Tuesdays, I try to post anything fabric, quilting, crafting, DIY and more. However, I was out and about running errands yesterday and scoring some excellent deals and steals! So, I decided to combine Tuesday and Wednesday posts together. I hope y'all don't mind.

Way back in April, during the quilt shop hop, I purchased some Max & Whiskers fabric and blogged about the fabrics. I also mentioned that I was buying more of the fabric in this line. Well, I took pictures when all of the fabric arrived and then I promptly forgot about them. Bad ol' me!

Here is the entire line of fabrics that I purchased way back when. Confession: I have since purchased a few fabrics that went 50% off when I stumbled upon them at another online quilt shop. I was not a huge fan of those fabrics when I originally purchased more in this line. But, I just had to have them because they were 1) part of the line of fabrics and 2) 50% off! By the way, those extra fabrics are not included in the picture above. Maybe this is why I never blogged about the newer fabrics? I just did not have the inclination to take more pictures. I still don't. Ha!

Here is a picture of the most of the fabrics I have. I mentioned in the original blog post that I was not too sure about the dog fabric. Well, the final decision is to eliminate the dog fabric - it just does not meld well with the others. Do y'all agree with my decision?

Pictorial Monday: Gracie

I really need to get going and process tons of pictures I have taken. Right now, I just don't feel like it. I do have a couple pictures of Gracie that I have not shared on this blog until now. I know, I know. Y'all must be sick of seeing pictures of my cats! But, it's all I have right now. And besides, they are a constant source for me to shoot pictures.

Snapped on January 26. And no, she is not the one that destroyed the blinds. Chessie is the guilty cat.

Snapped on June 2nd

Link Roundup

  • Paper Pieced Kitchen Aid Mixer Pattern Quilting; Block; Tutorial

  • Paper Cut Winter Scene Paper crafts
    This is really cute! I’d probably make one without the ornaments so that I can have it all winter long. The problem is that I’d never make one because I do not have steady hands nor the patience! Ha!

  • Snowman T-shirt Tutorial Sewing; uses an orange scrap of fabric and eight black buttons
    This is too cute! If I can find the time, I’m going to make myself one because I absolutely adore snowmen (which is ironic considering I don’t do well in cold weather

  • Sing Anyway Inspirational
    Act 'as if.' Whenever I feel down or am scared of trying something new or am unhappy, I try to use these words. Act as if. Act as if I'm joyous. Act as if I've got tons of money in the bank. Act as if I'm a published writer. Act as if I have no fear. Act as if I haven't a care in the world. Act as if all is well.

    Soon I start believing it. And then it starts to manifest.

  • Good Enough Inspirational
    I sometimes look in the mirror or at my life and I see all I am then say,

    "Not good enough."

    You too?

    And yet...

    God saw all that he had made {that means people too} and then He said,

    "Very good."

  • Free Christmas Printable Two different versions; "O Come Let Us Adore Him…"

  • The Simple Truth About Ignoring Your Dream
    Don’t wait until you’re 70 or 80 or never, to ask yourself these questions:

    “What do I feel called to do? And why am I not doing it?”

    And then be as honest as a five year old with your answers.

    Question:
    What’s the biggest reason you’re not working on your dream?

Today I am...

::loving:: this old Pepsi crate that will be used for multiple purposes throughout the year including an advent calendar. We are planning to make “drawers” {boxes} out of thin pieces of Luan.

::tickled:: to see Gracie rolling around in a sunbeam pleased with herself for chasing off an old orange male cat snoozing in the sun on a mat in front of the glass sliding door to the back yard. {It took several meows; but, the orange male cat finally got up in a huff and walked away and Gracie had the gall to try to attack him through the glass.}

::having:: a bad case of “don’t wannas”

::melancholic:: due to this time of the year which tend to make me more introspective than usual

::wishing:: life was different for Mother

::missing:: loved ones gone from this earth

::thinking:: of my niece and Goddaughter whose own tiny daughter underwent minor surgery this morning -- I can only imagine the worry and concern she went through

::glad:: that the tiny little one made it through surgery with flying colors

::attempting:: to get into the Holiday spirit and ::failing:: miserably

::gearing up:: to start a major cleaning out and purge of the office

::hoping:: to have accomplished tons in that room

::planning:: on having baked taters for dinner

::determined:: to beat a boss called Scaldera in Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword tonight after experiencing utter failure last night
