I will turn 50 this year. I decided about a month ago to that it would be fun to create a new bucket list with 50 "goals". I ended up with 51. Some of the items were carried over from an old shorter bucket list. These are the things I truly would love to do in my lifetime even if some items are only a pipe dream.
I plan to update this list as I strike off the ones I have done.
- Get a new passport
- Set foot in the 48 contiguous states
- Grow a garden (successful)
- Get a couple trees established and thriving (more difficult than I thought)
- Learn to crochet and make a Granny Stripe Afghan
- Overcome my fear of flying (Eeeks!)
- Ride an Airboat (Eeeks!)
- The Grand Canyon
- Grand Canyon Skywalk (Eeeks!)
- Redwood Trees (Redwood National Park?)
- Alaska Northern Lights
- Key West (FL)
- Yosemite State Park
- Kayaking
- 5K
- Pacific Ocean (already seen the Atlanta and Gulf)
- Witness a Green Flash (occurs sunrise/sunset over the ocean)
- Design and make a quilt
- Last Will and Testament
- Mardi Gras in New Orleans
- Handle and shoot a gun
- Washington DC
- Stay in a Treehouse
- Ride a Segway
- Niagara Falls
- Learn to ride a motorcycle
- F1 race with Dan in Austin
- Write a novel/book
- Zip Line (Eeeks!)
- ATV
- Statewide Shop Hop (September)
- Enter a quilt show
- Adopt/rescue a dog (must replace front fence first)
- Beekeeping
- Raise Chickens
- Tower of Americas and have a dessert (Eeeks!)
- Visit Maine again
- visit PEI (Prince Edward Island) where fictional Anne Shirley of Green Gables lived
- Create a decent painting –should be fun trying
- Open an etsy shop (successful)
- Texas State Fair
- Visit Stonehenge II in Ingram, Texas (I have seen the real Stonehenge!)
- Rock Climbing
- Scotland
- Get out and see if I can find a church home
- See a Lavender Field and pick some Lavender (farms in Hill Country Texas)
- Make pickles
- Make Jam or Jelly
- Explore a beach I have not been to
- Learn to Waltz
- Learn how to play the mandolin
