We are actually right along the border of desert country -- hot and dry most of the time. Our soil is mostly sandy. It has been awesome this spring with the weather. Rain came more often than the last five years. We are hoping it continues because the majority of the state (Texas) is in a drought and haven been for a very long time.
Very nice! I'm grateful for the rain you are having, too, because it allows us to see the plethora of wildflowers you have on the place. I'm amazed at the variety you have!
